Basic Patrol K-9 Course #38 (5 weeks) – This is an entry level course for law enforcement patrol dog teams. It is an intensive course that provides hands on instruction in the handling, care and deployment of a police service dog. This course includes classroom instruction as well as a wide variety of field exercises and scenarios. At the conclusion of this course the dog and handler will be ready for field deployment and be certified in accordance with California POST standards. It is an intensive course that provides hands on instruction in the handling and deployment of a detection dog. This course includes classroom instruction as well as a wide variety of field exercises and scenarios. At the conclusion of this course the dog and handler will be ready for field deployment and be certified in accordance with California POST standards.
