Law Enforcement Training

Patrol Courses

Our patrol courses provide specific instruction to the handler regarding liability, case law, report writing, first aid, canine care, and deployment considerations based upon department policy. The handler and canine are taken through a rigorous and physically demanding process that will make them a successful team upon completion. The areas of focus are on and off lead obedience, building and area searches, tracking, article searches, agility, handler protection and apprehension. At the conclusion of each course the team will be certified in accordance with industry standards.

Detection Courses

Our detection courses also provide instruction in case law, liability, record keeping, first aid, canine care and deployment considerations. The handler is taught to read the canine for specific changes of behavior that will make them an effective team in the field. The length of the course will be dependent upon the discipline chosen. We provide courses in explosive detection, narcotic detection, arson detection and firearm / ammunition detection.

Maintenance Training

We offer monthly maintenance training programs at a reasonable cost. The purpose of this training is to ensure that each service team remains at or above industry standards at all times. The current recommendation is that each team have a minimum of 16 hours of documented training per month.

Personal, Family, and Executive Protection Training

Silver Package

Our loyal protection dogs will have been put through rigorous testing including a wide variety of environments to ensure sound temperament and capabilities. This package includes a dog that has been socialized and is environmentally sound. The dog will have on and off lead obedience, will bark on command, will be kennel trained, will be trained to stay in a specific spot within your residence or business, will protect against multiple attackers, will recall on command, and will be health certified. This package will include a 3 day training course. Additional training days can be added for an additional cost. Training can be done at your location, but the buyer will be responsible for lodging and travel expenses. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Gold Package

This package includes everything mentioned above in the Silver Package with the additional skills to include an off lead search of your home or office to detect hidden or concealed person, an on lead perimeter search to clear the exterior of a building for hidden or concealed persons, a recall from an apprehension, deployment from a vehicle, is tracking capable, will go to the bathroom on command and will cease pursuit of a subject and re-apprehend if necessary. This package will include a one week training course. Additional days can be added for an additional cost. Training can be done at your location, but the buyer will be responsible for lodging and travel expenses. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Specialized Training

Additional skills can be added as desired by the client at an additional cost. These can include detection abilities, tactics with weapons, security details and more. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Maintenance Training

We recommend that each personal, family, or executive protection dog receive ongoing training to ensure optimal performance and to answer any questions the owner may have. The recommended amount of training is two days per month (16 hours total). It is recognized that having a trained dog as a part of your daily life can be a unique experience and we want to ensure complete satisfaction. This training can be done at your location, but the buyer will be responsible for lodging and travel expenses.

The cost of this training is $1250 per day

Yearly Update

We recommend an annual update course with your dog to further build your relationship and to ensure the proper level of performance. This course is designed to reevaluate the dog, problem solve, strengthen any weak areas and to re-certify the dog in accordance to Top Dog Training Center standards. This course is a week long or 40 hours. This training can be done at your location, but the buyer will be responsible for lodging and travel expenses.
